The Joy Pack

In-home dog sitting in Oakland & Berkeley

Loving, trusted care for your pup in a calm, cozy home

Hi, I’m Jenn!

I’m a trusted pet sitter based in Oakland/Berkeley offering overnight dog care in my home. With 20+ years of experience, I treat every pup like family—with presence, patience, and play.

The Story Behind The Joy Pack

The Joy Pack is a tribute to the dogs who shaped my life—Tommy, Laila, Monty, and Snoopy—who reminded me to be wild, playful, and present for love.My journey began 23 years ago in Staten Island, NY in a Bangladeshi immigrant home filled with loud love and soft fur. I’ve since cared for pets across Brooklyn and Berkeley for nearly two decades. After pausing to raise my daughter here in Oakland, I feel called to reconnect with our local dog community—with care rooted in trust, joy, and a deep love for animals.

Why Choose The Joy Pack?

There are hundreds of sitters on apps like Rover—but most juggle multiple services, take on several dogs at once, or treat this work as a side gig. I do things differently. Few offer the grounded, heart-centered care I do.When your dog stays with me, they’re not just being “watched”—they’re being welcomed into a quiet, loving home where they’ll be treated like family. I only care for one or two dogs at a time, so your pup gets the attention, affection, and calm energy they need to truly feel at ease.Whether you’re heading out of town, navigating long workdays, or just want a trusted companion for your dog—you can count on me to show up with patience, presence, and heart.I live here, walk here, parent here. I’m not a pop-in stranger from an app—you’ll know who’s caring for your dog and how they’re doing, every step of the way.✔ Boutique, home-based care in Oakland with a beautiful (big) backyard
✔ Just 1–2 dogs at a time
✔ Deep experience with rescues & seniors
✔ Trauma-informed, values-aligned care
✔ Perfect for families, professionals, and pups who need extra gentleness
This isn’t just a service—it’s a calling.

Kind Words from Humans

"Jenn cared for my cat for two months as a live-in pet sitter while I was away on an extended vacation. She was extremely loving, attentive to, and patient with my sometimes-challenging cat! She took excellent care of him and was very responsive whenever I reached out to see how things were going. She was conscientious about asking for detailed care instructions and texting me whenever something came up that was out of the ordinary. She even sent me photos and videos from time to time so I could see how he was getting on. Overall, Jenn was a fantastic, responsible and loving caregiver for my cat and a genuinely nice person to work with. I highly recommend her."
- Kim, mom of Lucky
"Jenn cared for our pup Lucy for a week while we were out of the country. Jenn is a true professional! Her daily updates and pics were epic; you can tell she truly loves being around pups. She cared for Lucy like her own and provided her with so much love while we were away. We would wholeheartedly recommend Jenn to any dog owner out there who is looking for a trusted sitter! Thank you, Jenn!"
- Neil, dad of Lucy

Woof! I have some questions...

Do you work with anxious or reactive dogs?I love all dogs—but because this is an in-home setting and I have a young child, I only take pups who are calm, friendly, and comfortable in new environments. For the safety and wellbeing of everyone in my home (especially tiny humans), I’m not able to host dogs who struggle with anxiety, fearfulness, or reactivity toward new people, children, or other dogs.If your dog needs extra support, I’d be happy to recommend sitters or trainers who specialize in those needs. Can my dog be off-leash at your home or at the park? For everyone’s safety, I keep all guest dogs on leash during walks and outdoor time, unless we’re in a securely fenced area with your permission. My home has a large unsecured outdoor space. I do not take dogs to dog parks due to the unpredictability of other dogs and environments. What’s your meet-and-greet process like?Once I’ve reviewed your inquiry form, I’ll follow up by email with a few additional questions about your pup’s personality, needs, and daily routines. If everything feels like a good fit, I’ll happily schedule a meet-and-greet—either in your neighborhood or mine!
